Travel Tips

Coming Soon….. but here are just a few pointers.

  1. Pack Lightly – 9 out of 10 times, you really don’t need to bring the nice shoes. It is easier to travel with, get through security, and get on your way if you pack lightly.
  2. ALWAYS bring sunscreen. I don’t care where your from, what color you are or how much time you spend in the sun, a little for your nose, or face helps. So does a long sleeve shirt for the sun.
  3. Ask the locals where the good food is. Just not any you may have already pissed off with your travel virginity antics… I have seen some of you out there.
  4. The road to hell is paved with good intentions… Be careful. Follow your gut when traveling. Pay attention.
  5. Before picking that travel partner to a 2nd or 3rd world country, make sure they are cool with shitting on the street or in the bushes
  6. For men wear tight boxers when riding a horse or a camel. Elephants you should be cool, but it doesn’t hurt either.
  7. Seriously, don’t pet any monkeys. Just don’t do it. And that granola bar your eating, eat it, don’t give it to the damn monkey.
  8. Don’t drink the water. Un-Opened Bottled water can be your friend. Ask around to other people who have traveled there or live there and elsewhere how the water is.
  9. Don’t fall asleep outside to long especially laying on the ground
  10. Read the top 10 over again
  11. Remember the 7 P’s. Previous, Proper, Planning, Prevents, Piss, Poor, Performance. and although planning is good, if it does not go your way, have fun with it anyways.
  12. If you are bringing a carry-on, and a checked bag, put the essentials in your carry-on. When the airlines ( United ) loose your luggage on that international trip… you will not regret the hassle of lugging around that extra pair of socks, undies, shirt, pants, toothbrush, soap, ect…. through security.
  13. NEVER let the airport do a manual tag for your luggage…. no matter what!
  14. Learn the basics in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese languages. Play around and use them daily with your friends so you learn them. It will help you, it makes you look smarter, you will get a little more respect from locals if you can at least great them in their language.
  15. Research the land. If it is going to be muddy, don’t bring light colors ( costa rica )
